| A behavior consultation is done in your home to give you and your dog all the individual attention needed to help work on any behavior problems your dog may be having. Learning how to appropriately deal with behavior problems can make your life with your dog much more enjoyable. Some problems that this type of training can help are: jumping on people, furniture and/or counters, hyperactivity, chewing, barking, stealing, begging, housebreaking, anxiety or fearful behaviors, some forms of aggression, and more.
Every behavior consultation involves the trainer taking a detailed behavior history, teaching the owner the appropriate training to do for the particular problem, some obedience training, a detailed custom written behavior plan and a follow up phone call.
*Behavior consultations are not necessarily just for problems behaviors-they can be beneficial for expectant parents to learn how to prepare their dog for the newest family member. Also, families with newly adopted dogs can benefit from a behavior consultation to help get them off on the right paw.
